"The moment I stepped in Florence, I knew I was destined to be there. There was something magical in the air. I started my walk at the Uffizi Gallery with the great masters and ended at the feet of David and the famous sculptures of the prisoners of MichelAngelo. I felt that I was home and ready to embrace my new journey."
Jenny Barnette started sculpting in 2006 after a dream. The dream led her to train with Martine Vogel, a sculptor in the Loire Valley in France.After a few weeks, Jenny came back to the US where she was commissioned to do a bust of former president Clinton and another to be presented at an event in NYC.
In 2016 Jenny decided to further her career and train in the classics by going to the birthplace of Renaissance, Florence, Italy.
From 2016 to 2019 Jenny trained at THE FLORENCE ACADEMY OF ART. "It is never late to pursue a dream, even if it is you against the world.”
In 2006 Jenny created a bust for president Clinton and and another to represent peace between the East and the West. The bust currently resides in the Clinton library and from the next image you can see that “Justice United” is in Clinton’s office.
Justice United, a symbol for peace sits behind Clinton.
